My Approach

I offer counselling based on you, who you are, what you need at this time, working at the right pace for you, in the right way for you.

I am an “Integrative” counsellor. This means I use the best mix of several theories to suit each individual client. For example, some people like to be gently challenged; others have more of a need to be genuinely listened to and understood; while some might like to try creative ways of self–discovery.

I work on resolving daily personal issues such as relationships, stress, anxiety and grief, for example. For some, practices such as mindfulness, meditation, visualisation and grounding can be very useful.

I am fully qualified with an Advanced Integrative Counselling Diploma, accredited by the BACP, with a Level Seven Post Qualifying Diploma, Counselling Children and Young People. This means I can work with adults, young people and children.

I am fully insured and DBS checked.

How much will it cost and how long?

An initial, half hour, consultation is free so you can learn a bit about the type of counselling I am offering. It also gives us a chance to discuss your hopes and expectations from the counselling process, and will help you decide whether I am the kind of person you would like to work with.

After this I charge £35 per hour. I offer short-term counselling (some clients only require a few sessions), as well as working with clients longer-term.

At the moment I am offering appointments 9.30am to 8.30pm, Monday to Friday.
